Find More Targets On Land and Underwater
Garrett's AT Pro is the Most Versatile Detector in it's Class - 100% Waterproof and Submersible up to 10 ft.
The Garrett AT Pro is an all-terrain machine designed for a wide variety of detecting environments.
The advanced features are designed for the expert treasure hunter, but it's standard modes can be easily operated by the beginner.
Let’s take a look at some of the features.
Features
The Advanced Audio characteristics provide fast recovery speed which is important for separating adjacent targets and in areas where good targets may be scattered amongst iron trash.
It is equipped with a large 8.5 x 11” DD configuration search coil. This coil provides excellent detection depth, a wide coverage area and it has been engineered for optimum performance in more challenging mineralized ground.
Operating at 15 kHz, the AT Pro is ideal for hunting coins, relics, caches, jewelry, and even gold nuggets.
This detector features high-resolution iron discrimination. You have settings from 0 to 40 to allow you to set your iron discrimination at just the right level to help separate good targets from bad.

In addition, Garrett's exclusive iron audio feature allows you to hear the discriminated iron target - which would normally be silent.
Iron audio helps you avoid digging an undesirable target.
Treasure targets are identified both with a target ID cursor on the LCD’s upper scale and also by the digital target ID below.

This digital target ID provides an even more specific value to identify targets more precisely.
The depth indicator display is the depth of a coin size target in increments of 2 inches.

The AT Pro also produces distinct audible tones based on a target's metal type and conductivity.
It is fully waterproof to 10 feet or 3 meters and can be used to hunt in both saltwater and freshwater environments making this detector truly an all-terrain, all treasure machine.

This detector includes both manual and automatic ground balance features which gives you the ability to achieve stable detecting performance in challenging environments such as highly mineralized ground or saltwater.
It can be easily adjusted for different heights and it has camlocks on the shafts for added stability.

Camlock to secure lower shaft. There is also a camlock to secure upper shaft (not pictured here).
This detector is lightweight and includes a set of headphones which can be used in almost all hunting environments including wading in the bodies of water.

If you're going to completely submerge the headset, there are optional headphones available from Garrett which are completely waterproof.
There's also a full array of accessory search coils available for the AT Pro.

4" DD, 5x8" DD, 6.5x9" Concentric & 9x12" Concentric Available (not included with purchase)
What Other Detectorists Are Saying...

I found that the AT Pro offered an above average level of performance and ease of operation in the water that will likely allow many treasure hunters, that might be limited to a single detector, to experience the excitement water hunting can bring when jewelry is recovered. The AT Pro handled the shallow water with ease and offered target ID information — both audibly and visibly — that one does not expect from a fully submersible detector.
Waterproof, lightweight and affordable, with features never before seen on a detector that excels under such a wide range of conditions, it’s easy to see why the AT Pro has become so popular with hunters around the world.

The thing that really hooked us is the fact that it is so versatile. It's super lightweight, waterproof...you don't have to worry about it much. It's just an easy to use machine.

I've been water hunting (and relic hunting in general) for 35 years , but these last few years by far have been my most productive years of my life metal detecting [with the AT Pro and AT Gold].
Whether the treasure you seek is old coins, modern jewelry, or historic relics, Garrett's AT Pro can deliver in all terrains - even shallow water hunting.
The AT Pro is loaded with features: Advanced Target identification, excellent detection depth, superior performance. You can have it all with Garrett’s AT Pro!

I have been detecting for about 6 months. I started with a Fisher F2 but kept seeing everyone on the videos using an Etrac so I bought one. Big mistake. Was not happy with the Etrac so I bought an AT Pro. Went hunting with it last evening (8/30/2011) for the first time and could not have been more pleased. I found 23 coins in about 3 hours. That may not seem like a lot to some hunters but for me that was outstanding. I never even came close to doing that good with the Fisher or the Etrac. The Etrac is a hard machine to use and the AT Pro was simply even on the first hunt. I was totally amazed at how much easier it was to use than the Etrac. All I can say is don’t buy and Etrac when you can buy an AT Pro much cheaper and hunting will be a lot more fun. I will be putting my Etrac on ebay in the very near future because I never intend to use it again.

As soon as I began using the AT Pro, I began finding silver coins. I went back to places I hunted with my prior detector and I was surprised to discover silver coins I missed before.
I really like that the AT Pro produces unique sounds for different things. When I have a coin under the coil I can usually tell it apart from trash due to a certain silky, smooth quality to the sound as opposed to the sharp, shrilly sound of a bottle cap for example. Also, having the ability to turn the Iron signals on or off on the fly helps with identifying the targets.
Generally, the AT Pro is sophisticated enough without being hard to use. It is relatively light and the new cam locks make it feel nice and solid.
Last, I really like hunting with it and not worrying about it getting wet.
All in all, it is a very good metal detector that easily competes with more expensive machines.

No detector is perfect, but the ATP comes pretty darn close! I have a habit of constantly changing machines. I think I finally broke that habit because I am amazed every time I take this machine out. Iron audio is a life saver. The weight isn’t bad and the smaller coil is ideal for many situations except wide open fields or beaches. It did not take me long to train my ear to use it effectively. I had a pleasant experience with Hollands Brook as always. I always get quick responses to my questions!
